Ozamm, The Terrible! Plot by Stan Lee script by Larry Lieber art by Don Heck. The Toy Soldiers By Stan Lee & Steve Ditko.Starring Ant-Man. "The Vengeance of the Scarlet Beetle" is written by Stan Lee and Larry Lieber with art by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers. Featuring one of Marveldom's most obscure and bizarre villains. Few humans stop to think about the insect world teeming at their feet but Hank (Ant-Man) Pym closely monitors communications between his friends, the ants. One day, Pym's six-legged friends tell of a strange and dangerous creature dwelling in the sewers beneath the city. Shrinking himself down to the size of an ant, Pym decides to investigate. Amid an army of flies, grasshoppers, mantises and wasps, Ant-Man finds the Scarlet Beetle. Recently granted human-level intelligence and mental telepathy because of being caught too close to a nuclear explosion, the Scarlet Beetle has plans to conquer the world of men.Detecting Ant-Man listening in on his plans, the Scarlet Beetle has his bug warriors overcome the adventurer-scientist, stripping him of his cybernetic helmet and size-changing gas. Using the enlarging gas on himself, the Scarlet Beetle orders the fall of man to begin. Everywhere communication lines are downed by determined termites. Spiders (although not technically insects) bite prominent figures in law enforcement and government, sending them to sick beds. And the Scarlet Beetle himself crashes into radio and TV stations to control the airwaves. Only through the help of his still-loyal friends, the ants, can Ant-Man begin to mount a counter-offensive. Then, read how one lowly, out of work laborer felled "Ozamm, the Terrible!" (written by Lee and Lieber with art by Don Heck). Finally, artist Steve Ditko illustrates how a boy's toy Civil War soldiers saved the world from invasion from the Sixth Dimension! We list over 200,000 items in our Hip Store.
