Here's the landmark 100th issue of GREEN LANTERN from Volume 3 in the Summer of 1998 . . and the first meeting between the then-current GL KYLE RAYNER and his predecessor HAL JORDAN!

In "Brightest Days Past" KYLE RAYNER was supposed to be sent time-traveling to his present, but finds he has overshot that time period and travelled to the past, and right into the middle of a battle between HAL JORDAN and SINESTRO! The fuscia-skinned renegade Lantern traps them both in a yellow lantern-construct, but they manage to escape and follow SINESTRO to OA where he has captured the GUARDIANS!

Kyle and HAL, along with help from others in the GREEN LANTERN CORPS, capture SINESTRO and lock him up. The GUARDIANS find a way to send KYLE back to his future, but just before the process begins, SINESTRO manages to push HAL into the portal, transporting the two GLs to the future!

A clever story by Ron Marz, and great artwork by Darryl Banks and Terry Austin!
