Item Description

The SUB-MARINER is a very popular guy here in issue #6 of the X-MEN's first year on the newsstands!  Both Professor Xavier and Magneto try to recruit Namor to join their super-groups!  Magneto tries to up the ante, and promises Namor he will make him ruler of Atlantis if he joins the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants!

Xavier gets word of this underhanded form of persuasion and sends the X-MEN to Magneto's secret island lair.  A huge battle ensues, as you might imagine, but as the dust clears Namor washes his hands of the whole membership affair and returns to Atlantis!

This copy has been handled and enjoyed repeatedly, but is still in very good reading shape. The covers and a few pages have ragged edges, there is typical toning for a 57-year old comic, but there are no creases or missing pieces, and the binding is strong.  There is a small bit of handwriting at the top of the splash page.  All these factors contribute to a conservative grading of 4.0 VG , for which Overstreet suggests a price of $114.00!  How 'bout we shake on $100 . . with FREE shipping?  

That's a better deal than Magneto gave Namor!
