Item Description

X-FORCE was a fictional team of superheroes conceived by writer/illustrator Rob Liefeld. The team first appeared in _New Mutants_ #100 (April 1991) and soon afterwards was featured in its own self-titled series.  The teams's first leader was the mutant Cable. An offshoot of the X-Men, X-FORCE takes a more militant and aggressive approach towards its enemies compared to the X-Men. The title was successful in the early 1990s, but its popularity waned after Liefeld left.

Here in issue #8, in the story "Flashed Before My Eyes", written by Liefeld, there is an extended 13-page flashback by Mike Mignola as CABLE recalls an early venture against Sauron. Liefeld bookends the story, and contributes TWO full page mini-posters of CABLE.
