Item ~ Wonder Woman (1987 2nd Series) #29
The origin of the Cheetah
Script by George Perez, pencils by Chris Marrinan, inks by Will Blyberg.
George Perez cover.
In the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt, a naval patrol boat pulls up along a freighter that is still smoking from what looks like a recent attack. They climb on board to investigate and discover that it is the Libyan ship they have been pursuing before. There are signs of struggle and some of the booty has been looted. One of the officers investigate some more and step inside to find bodies that look like it has been torn apart by an animal. In England, in Barbara Minerva’s castle, Chuma continues his story about Minerva becoming the Cheetah. He tells how the Temple of Urzkartaga had been ruined due to expeditions and a gun pointing at him would surely mean his death. Barbara questioned Chuma, asking him why she should not shoot him in the head and he replies that he has nothing to live...

About Me:
I've been collecting comics for over fifty years. My very first comic was World's Finest #205 (1971 - Neal Adams cover) I was amazed! Then, I purchased Special Marvel Edition #2 (1971 Thor vs The Absorbing Man) My amazement turned to sheer AWE! The dynamic action poses! The primary colors! The costumes! It totally leaped off the pages to me & my imagination soared! It left an incredible impression on me as a 6 year old kid. To say that I've been uncontrollably hooked ever since that moment would be putting it mildly. I truly enjoy what I do, and if given the opportunity, I would love to assist you with your collecting!
Thanks for viewing.
