WEB OF HORROR was an anthology horror comic that was published by Major Publications from 1969 to 1970. It ran for only three issues with a fourth one produced, but never published. It was printed in black & white in magazine format to avoid having to get the comics code authority's approval much like its contemporaries CREEPY and EERIE. As with most horror anthologies, Web of Horror was hosted by a storyteller. In this case it was WEBSTER, a wide-eyed, four legged spider!

Here's issue #1 from the end of 1969.  Inside the painted cover by Jeff Jones, can be found 6 chilling and frightening black-and-white horror stories from artists like Berni Wrightson, Mike Kaluta, Syd Shores, and Ralph Reese!

52 pages of chilling tales with titles like "Blood-Thirst", "The Skin-Eaters", and "Island of the Walking Dead"!

WEB OF HORROR seemed to be trying to copy the success of the Warren titles like CREEPY and EERIE . . but its brief life lasted only three issues.

This copy is in pretty good shape, with a solid binding and no tears, . . but several stress lines on the front cover and the poor quality of paper used has succumbed to mild toning, but nothing that affects the great artwork!  We very conservatively grade this at 6.0 FN+.  As such, Overstreet lists a value of $32 . . . but we're offering it at $18 . . with our always-LOW shipping . . and FREE shipping when you combine additional purchases!
