Wanamaker's Toy World Funnies Issue: / Year: 1933 Condition: FR/GVery rare variation of Funnies on Parade. Similar contents to Century of Comics: Joe Palooka, Hairbreath Harry, Mutt & Jeff. Santa Claus Christmas cover. This book is listed in the Price Guide but there are no prices listed as no sales have been documented. If you collect the truly rare comic books you will want to consider this copy. Good condition, spine is split from top and bottom, only about 1/4 of the spine is attaching the front and back covers. There are a few color flakes off cover, small piece missing top right, small stain bottom spine. Back cover slightly attached at top staple, cover detached at lower staple. Pages are creamy and supple. This is the only copy of this book we have seen in over 40 years of collecting. How many other copies of this over 70 year old book exist? Funnies On Parade had a 10,000 copy print run for Proctor & Gamble for National distribution. This TOY WORLD edition was printed for the Wanamakers store on 9th and Broadway in New York City. It seems logical that a single location would order a smaller print run than a national manufacturer. This book is very rare.
