FARRELL PUBLICATIONS was the original comic book publishing company of many to follow, founded and operated by ROBERT W. FARRELL in the 1940s and 1950s. FARRELL is particularly known for its pre-Comics Code horror comics, mostly produced by the famed IGER STUDIO. Farrell also published romance, Western, Adventure, Superhero, Funny Animal and JUNGLE comics, of which VOODA, JUNGLE PRINCESS was one of the best-known.

Here is VOODA #21, from 1955, the second of only 3 issues under this title. You get two stories of this beautiful 'Queen' of her domain in the Congo - first in "The Intruders!", which has her dealing with an uninvited Hollywood movie production, and also in "The Trek of Danger!" in which VOODA must battle another 'Jungle Queen' rival who has convinced VOODA's people that VOODA is dead. They all consider her a ghost who walks until she proves otherwise!

Great artwork (including the cover) by the acclaimed 'Good Girl Artist' of the '40s and '50s, MATT BAKER!!

You also get 5-page stories of KIMBO THE JUNGLE BOY and the daring CONGO CHAMP!

This is a nicet copy of VOODA #21, with a bright and glossy cover, supple pages, and a strong, perfectly straight spine! There is a tiny split at the edge of the back cover, a faint date stamp on the cover, and some rough edges . . but an amazing lack of toning for its age of 70 years!

We think it rates as a 6.0 FN condition, and as such, the Overstreet Price Guide assigns a copy of this issue at this grade a value of $213 for its rarity . . . but we're making it an affordable treasure for Jungle-lovers at just $175 . . and it comes with our FREE SHIPPING!
