MARVEL's biggest hit of Spring 1972, and the start of an enduring fan-favorite run, was TOMB OF DRACULA . Issue #8 arrived in May of 1973 with a cover pencilled by 'TOMB's regular artist GENE COLAN, and inked by first-timer (with Colan) ERNIE CHUA - the same team that provides the exciting artwork inside!

The continuing story of TOMB OF DRACULA centers around FRANK DRAKE, a distant descendant of COUNT DRACULA, and heir to his castle in Transylvania. He heads a troop of Vampire Hunters on the trail of the long-dead DRACULA.

Here in issue #8, in MARV WOLFMAN's tale "The Hellcrawlers!", DRAKE and his fellow hunters have been trapped in a mansion by demonically-hypnotized and bloodthirsty children, at the same time DRACULA is reeling in pain from being shot with a poison-tipped dart! The Vampire Hunters managed to escape the deranged children . . . and DRACULA is operated on by a fellow vampire.

The story reaches its climax in a cemetery where DRACULA uses a device stolen from the doctor who operated on him, and raises an army of the undead!

This is a wonderfully well-preserved copy of TOMB of DRACULA #8 - with a strong binding, perfect cover gloss, pages free of toning, and no tears, creases or pieces missing.
