Silent-movie cowboy Tom Mix became a pop-culture icon with his 1940s radio show and this tie-in comic. A corrupt newspaper editor who's the head of a rustling gang uses his paper to frame Tom for murder. Tom meets the beautiful Ann, but she has a strange connection to the outlaws who are plaguing the town. Tom realizes that the mysterious killer stalking the town is carnival performer Samara, and her trained leopard! Plus Comix Cards (like the later Marvel Value Stamps) featuring Ibis and Taia. Also, a vintage Tootsie Roll ad, Captain Tootsie Traps the Circus Culprit, with art by Shazam co-creator CC Beck, and a hair-cream ad featuring detective Sam Spade. ~~~~~~~~ VG/FN Condition.
