Following the 2021 Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics (6th Edition), we grade this as VG+ (4.5). This item is average, less wear and defects than VG. This item shows moderate wear but still has enough eye appeal to be a desirable copy. The cover shows moderate wear and may be loose but not completely detached. Major to extreme reduction in reflectivity. Can have moderate accumulation of creases or dimples. Corners may be blunted or abraded. Store stamps, name stamps, arrival dates, initials, etc. have no effect on this grade. Moderate discoloration, fading, and/or foxing. As much as 1/8” triangle can be missing out of the corner or edge; a missing 1/16” square is also acceptable. Only minor amateur repair is allowed on otherwise high-grade items. Minor to moderate spine roll may be present and a 1/2”-1” spine split/color break. Staples are discolored. An accumulation of minor staple tears and stress lines may be present, as well as rust migration. Paper is brown to tan but not brittle. A minor acidic odor can be detected. Minor tears throughout the book may be present. Centerfold may be loose or detached at one staple. Comics in this condition are still desirable and collectable.
