Item Description

Here are the third and fourth issues of THE SAVAGE SHE-HULK, a series that Stan Lee purportedly created when he saw that producers of TV's "The Six Million Dollar Man" had created a female version - "The Six Million Dollar Woman" - and was concerned that the producers of TV's "The HULK" would follow their lead.  He didn't want to lose the rights to the possibility of a 'SHE-HULK' being owned by TV producers, so he created her first!

Jennifer Walters is a lawyer who is defending a gangster against Nick Trask and his gang. When Jennifer is gunned down, Bruce Banner gives her a blood transfusion which accidentally turns her into SHE-HULK,  a somewhat milder version of Banner's HULK condition. Jennifer becomes a large, powerful, green-hued version of herself; however, unlike Banner, she still largely retains her personality: in particular, she retains the majority of her intelligence and emotional control, although, like HULK, she is still susceptible to outbursts of temper and becomes much stronger if enraged. 

Here, in issue #3 you get "She-Hulk Murders Lady Lawyer!!", scripted by David Anthony Kraft and illustrated by Mike Vosburg, with inks by Chic Stone. Mobster Nick Trask uses a robot dressed as SHE-HULK to murder several people, then sics the robot on SHE-HULK herself. Jen's father, Sheriff Walters, unaware of his daughter's secret alias, orders SHE-HULK brought in dead or alive!

And in issue #4 you get "The She-Hulk Strikes Back!", by the same creative crew, and in which Jennifer's dad, Sheriff Walters, tries to take down SHE-HULK, whom he believes has killed his daughter.

These are two nicely fresh and near-pristine copies with no faults or blemishes that we can see!  A true 8.0 VF rating for both 45-year old comics!   The Overstreet Price Guide suggests a combined price of $16.00. . . but we're going to UN-HULK that price tag down to just $10. . with our always-L•O•W shipping!
