Earth's Green Lanterns do battle with Russia’s greatest hero--Rocket Red!Note: Kilowog travels the the Soviet Union where he assist the Soviets in building the Red Rocket Brigade.In a secret bunker deep under a Russian military lab, Dr. Krenshikov loses another human test subject to their attempt to create a superhuman under project Red Rocket. Then Dr. Krenshikov is told by his commanding officer that his time and funding is getting short and if he doesn't create a successful superhuman soon his goverVG/FNent will find someone who can.Meanwhile, over the ocean Kilowog and the Russian spy Pietr Brenovich, discuss the differences between America and Russia, and Pietr convinces the alien that Russia has the better ideals tha America. Kilowog then agrees to go to Russia and help them.Back at the Green Lantern Citadel, Hal Jodan and his team of Earthbound Green Lanterns say goodbye to Appa Ali Apsa and his team of Green Lantern Honor Guards. They are then approached by Tawny Young and her group of reporters. She takes delight in telling them that President Regan has declared that all superhumans are not allowed to use their powers.After Tawny leaves the group votes on what to do, Hal and Katma Tui vote to not use their rings, whereas Salaak, Ch'p and John vote to disobey the law. Arias comes up with the idea that the team should just leave America, which the group agrees is the best course of action.Back in Russia, Kilowog and Pietr meet with Mikhail Gorbachev who helps convince Kilowog to help with project Red Rocket. The next morning Kilowog meets Dr. Krenshikov , his team and Josef Danoff, whom he befriends. With Kilowog's help the Red Rocket project is successful.Meanwhile, Hal and his team meet with Dr. U'bx in Africa, and when they charge their rings, Kilowog's power battery flies off toward Russia. The team follows but once they cross into Russia they are attacked by Red Rocket.The team fights to a standstill but then Kilowog shows up and tells them he is working with Russia because they are more like the Green Lantern Corp of old. Katma Tui and John Stewart agree to go with Kilowog back to Russia and see for themselves that the country is better than America.At some point Kari Limbo is walking around looking for Guy Gardner when she mentally attacked by Glorious Godfrey disguised as a US agent riling up a crowd against superhumans in America.
