Writer Roy Thomas and the incredible John Buscema present another action-filled AVENGERS tale - this time, it's "The Warlord and the Witch!", with the focus on recent returnee QUICKSILVER!

Here in AVENGERS #75, from April of 1970, the AVENGERS (BLACK PANTHER, GOLIATH, VISION, WASP, & YELLOWJACKET), turn their focus to QUICKSILVER, with whom they briefly scuffle due to a misunderstanding! When things settle down, he tells the other team members he has sought them out to enlist their help in rescuing his sister - SCARLET WITCH. She has been taken against her will to be the bride of an alien Warlord - ARKON - whose distant world has become reliant on the Earth detonating more Nuclear Bombs in order for it to survive!

This is a great copy of this 56-year old comic, with a strong binding, supple pages, minimal toning and good color. A great story by Roy Thomas, which will be further explored in AVENGERS #76, and terrific art by John Buscema, with solid inking by Tom Palmer.
