Writer Roy Thomas and celebrated artist Barry Windsor-Smith present another action-filled AVENGERS tale - this time, it's "We Stand at ARMAGEDDON!", guest-starring ULTRON 6!

Here in AVENGERS #67, from August of 1969, inside the cover by Sal Buscema, the AVENGERS (GOLIATH, IRON MAN, VISION, WASP, YELLOWJACKET and THOR), face ULTRON 6, who has been revived inside AVENGERS Mansion, but manages to defeat Earth's mightiest heroes and make a quick escape, to plot the total destruction of mankind.

The VISION follows ULTRON back to his base to learn the robots plot: It's attempting to destroy New York City in a giant nuclear explosion. The VISION is soon joined by the AVENGERS, who take the sidelines while the VISION battles his creator. However the battle is lost because of the untimely intervention of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents (who are tracking the Adamantium which ULTRON's body is constructed of) arrive and stun the VISION, allowing ULTRON to escape, leaving the AVENGERS to deal with the device set to destroy the whole city!

This is a great copy of this 56-year old comic, with a strong binding, supple pages, minimal toning and good color. Nothing mars the great story by Roy Thomas, terrific art by the 'Pre-Conan' Barry Windsor-Smith, and solid inking by George Klein.

We're conservatively grading it an 8.0 VF, for which the Overstreet Price Guide suggests a value of $68. We're going to make this issue a good bit more affordable for you at just $50 . . and our LOW shipping cost will sweeten the deal.
