After the hugely popular DC series THE NEW TEEN TITANS finished its 49-issue run in late 1988, the teen superhero team re-formed and appeared in a second volume a month later, and ran for 80 more issues until 1996. At that time a whole new team was created, and the title was streamlined to TEEN TITANS.

Here are the first three issues of the 1996 incarnation of TEEN TITANS which tell a 3-issue story arc about how the new team was formed, and how the 5 new members face their first adventure together. On board are two of DC's outstanding talents of the period -- DAN JURGENS writes the story and provides layouts for the immaculate finishes of GEORGE PÉREZ, the legendary artist of THE NEW TEEN TITANS!

The brand new characters become known by their superhero names ARGENT, RISK, JOTO, and PRYSM, along with the original ATOM (Ray Palmer), who was reverted to his teen years! We get to know each individually before they are collectively abducted into an alien spaceship and have to battle their way to freedom, and back to Earth. They agree to form an alliance and become DC's THIRD iteration of the TEEN TITANS!

After the cancellation of the series, several of the characters went on to join with their older counterparts in the 1999 series, TITANS.
