About the item: For those who came in late...Measuring approximately 11 by 14 inches, this original art pencil sketch features the work of long-time Phantom artist Sy Barry. During the Golden Age, Barry worked at Timely and DC Comics, among other publishers, primarily as an inker- of note, he inked the first appearance of Krypto in Adventure Comics #210 - as well as the comic strips Flash Gordon and Tarzan. In 1961, he took over drawing The Phantom comics and illustrated the strip until his retirement in 1994. The sketch is in nm/mint and undisplayed condition and will be shipped with the utmost care.
