Scorching hot book with the Disney+ Obi-Wan series coming up on us soon. This is the super rare 35 cent first print variant of Marvel Comics' Star Wars (1977) #2. This issue is the first appearance in story of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Greedo, The Millenium Falcon and The Death Star. Also features a first appearance of a character called Jabba the Hutt in the comic. Since the comic came out before the first appearance of Jabba in a movie, this Jabba looks nothing like what we know Jabba to be. This is later 'corrected' by stating the Jabba in this issue is actual a character named Mosep who was pretending to be Jabba.

This is the first print 35 cent variant. Marvel ran what amounted to be a pilot program where they sold 35 cent issues of their comics in select areas and 30 cent issues everywhere else. Basically looking to see if the higher price would sell well enough to justify raising prices across the board.  Estimated print run for the 30 cent copy is 200,000. Estimated print run for the 35 cent copy is 1,500.
