This is the FABULOUS FIRST ISSUE of Marvel's epic comic book adaptation of George Lucas's Star Wars. The cover features iconic imagery with Darth Vader looming large over Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, and the droids, with X-wing fighters and explosions surrounding them. The issue introduces the main characters and begins adapting the events of the original film, launching one of the most successful comic book series in Marvel's history.
Also included in this issue is a Spalding sports advertisement featuring a Street Ball comic presentation with Rick Barry and Dr. J, showcasing the endorsement crossovers common in comics of this era.
