Stan Lee creates another angst-filled story and John Buscema turns in another gorgeous and emotional art job in SILVER SURFER #15.

In "The Flame and the Fury!", the SILVER SURFER reflects on his recent adventures alongside the FANTASTIC FOUR, battling against GALACTUS and decides that he should contact them and see if there is anything that they can do to help him get past the barrier that GALACTUS has erected.

When he arrives at the Baxter Building he finds the FF agreeing to help the military get the SURFER. He leaves in anger and the HUMAN TORCH pursues him. The two battle through the city and only when the TORCH gets injured does the SURFER calm down. He finds out that the Army only wanted him to help them with their space program . . . and he leaves in disgrace.

Buscema's powerful and fluid artwork is enhanced here by inker Dan Adkins!

This is a clean and solid copy of SILVER SURFER #15 with a good firm binding, and supple pages. The 53-year-old pages show very little toning. Colors are bright, and there is a modest sheen to the cover. No creases, tears, or pieces missing. We're calling it a 7.0 FN/VF, and Overstreet puts a value of $50 on it. How does the Benny's Comics Corner price tag of $43 sound?? Pretty good? And we'll even throw in possibly the lowest shipping charges here on HipComic!
