Here is issue #10 of one of the late '60's biggest comic book sensations - The SILVER SURFER, Skyrider of the Spaceways whose inner turmoil and angst especially resonated with college students in that tumultuous era!

In "A World He Never Made!", the tale starts with Shalla-Bal traveling to Earth with a scientist in order to find her love, Norrin Radd, The SILVER SURFER. The scientist tells her that Radd has most likely fallen in love with an Earth woman by now -- but Shalla-Bal angrily refutes that supposition and tells the scientist she will marry him if he is right!!

Meanwhile, in order to learn more about how the humans think, the SURFER decides to disguise his appearance and walk amongst them. He arrives at a South American town and is instantly attacked by armed men. A woman helps him, but is later captured by them. The SURFER attacks their headquarters and rescues the woman.

Shalla-Bal arrives on Earth just in time to see another woman in her beloved's arms!

This is a clean and solid copy of SILVER SURFER #9 with a nice strong binding. The 53-year-old newsprint has toned minimally. Colors are bright, and there is a modest sheen to the cover. No creases or tears, but a small nibble out of the top of the front cover. No bent or rounded corners. We're calling it an 7.5 VF-, and Overstreet puts a value of $46 on it. How does the Benny's Comics Corner price tag of $30 sound?? Pretty good? And we'll even throw in possibly the lowest shipping charges here on HipComic!
