The "BATMAN R.I.P." story arc was the brainchild of writer Grant Morrison in 2008 and ran in issues #676 - 681 of BATMAN. But there were also many tie-in issues in other titles that followed the same storyline . . and here are two of them!

ROBIN #175 and #176 deal with ROBIN's (Tim Drake's) disbelief that Bruce Wayne could actually be dead and gone, and he teams up with SPOILER to search Gotham for clues and answers. In "Scattered Pieces" in #175, by Fabian Nicieza and Joe Bennett, ROBIN ferrets out an old notebook of Bruce's that might be a lead to his mentor's disappearance, and with SPOILER at his side, interrogates THE PENGUIN and other Gotham lowlifes.

In "Gathered Pieces", one issue later, ROBIN and SPOILER further their search and discover the evil BLACK GLOVE gang is behind the missing BRUCE WAYNE. The cover of this issue is an homage to the cover of DETECTIVE COMICS #31 from 1939!
