Collects the early "Marvel-Era" Sub-Mariner solo stories. The main storyline is "The Quest", in which Warlord Krang has successfully staged a coup, leaving Namor to find Poseidon's jeweled trident in order to reclaim his kingdom. After that, there is a battle with Iron Man and the threat of the Secret Empire.
Classics all around...I remembered seeing some of the "animated" versions as a kid, with that great theme song. Most are illustrated by Gene Colan, many inked by Subby co-creator Bill Everett!

These volumes are the only way to a complete reprint collection of the silver age Namor stories so far.

Got this like used, has a bit of wear to the dust jacket -- much edge wear & a small split top right. Pages are nice but the book has a faint aroma of some kind, not smoke but something. Bagged. Non-smoking home.
