A true Golden Age classic, this is the very first issue of Little Lulu’s own series from Dell Publishing. Created by cartoonist Marjorie Henderson Buell (“Marge”), Little Lulu became one of America’s most beloved comic characters, known for her humor and charm. This issue features a story by John Stanley, with cover and art by Charles Hedinger and Irving Tripp. It also includes a two-page Lulu text story and an Alvin backup feature. This is a cornerstone book for collectors of classic humor comics, children’s comics, and Dell/Western publishing history.
