Following guidelines from the most current Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics, we grade this as VF/NM (9.0). But it’s your money; please review the actual item images provided for the condition. This item is nearly perfect with outstanding eye appeal. Item looks, “as if it was just purchased and read a few times.” There may be a limited number of minor bindery or printing defects. The cover is almost flat with almost imperceptible surface wear. Inks are bright with a slight dimming of reflectivity. A 1/8” bend is allowed if the color is not broken. Corners are cut square and sharp with slight blunting but without creases. Several lightly penciled, stamped, or inked arrival dates in unobtrusive locations. Apart from a slight spotting effect (foxing) usually at the edges, there is no soiling, staining or other discoloration. The spine is tight and flat with no spine roll or splits. The staples may have slight discoloration with only the slightest of staple tears. There may be a minor accumulation of nearly imperceptible stress lines. No rust migration. Paper is off-white to cream, and supple. No hint of acidity in the odor of the newsprint. No interior autographs or owner signatures. Centerfold is firmly secured. If there are any interior tears, they are very minor.
