Mike Grell story and the beautiful cover art and interior art all those who follow Iron Mike have become accustomed to since his debut in comics in Superboy and the Legion of Super Heroes in 1974. He both writes and draws the first 40 issues of this 56 issue series (while just writing issues 41 through 56), and only Dave Stevens can match Mike Grell for drawing the female form without the ridiculous exaggerations like Image Comics artists do. This series is a great read with stunningly beautiful art-- clearly a labor of love for Grell--and is one of the most undervalued and underrated series I am aware of (along with Eclipse Comics 50 issue series of Airboy).
