The 1st printing has thin black horizontal lines printed near the bottom of many (not all, as described by Kennedy) of the interior pages. This used to be the most sure-fire traditional way to tell if the comic book is a 1st printing. However, as the owner of eight copies of the 1st printing, I can confirm there is a front-cover tell that will identify 1st printings. Near the top of the inside of the letter "I" in "JIZ" is a faint blue-green horizontal line that is about 1/4 inch long. It is plainly evident in the two scans of the 1st printing provided here and it exists on all of my copies of the 1st printing (including five Donahue file copies). The 2nd printing (10,000 copies) and 3rd printing (15,000 copies), which are considered indistinguishable from one another, do not have the faint line in the letter "I" and also do not have the thin horizontal lines on any of the interior pages.Vintage New Old Stock.
