After giant-man found cap's lifeless body in the arizona desert, he rushed the star-spangled avenger to stark enterprises for emergency treatment! The fabled super-soldier serum has degraded to the point where steve rogers is near death! So to save the shield-slinger's life; hank, tony, and dr. Erica sondheim devise a risky surgical plan! Giant-man will shrink the golden avenger to bacterial size via pym particles; and then dr. Sondheim will inject the miniature shell-head into cap's bloodstream! Wow, does iron man's "fantastic voyage" have a chance of working? It's all or nothing for the red, white, and blue! Elements of the story continue in captain america 438. Cameo appearances by dr.
