Collects the entire first run by Lee/Kirby/Ditko, as well as the definitive early appearances. These classic comics introduced the Hulk and the supporting cast (Rick Jones, Betty Ross, Thunderbolt Ross, & Glen Talbot) and pitted him against Marvel's mightiest heroes. With his membership in the Avengers quickly terminated, the Hulk was cemented as an outsider character early on.
It's curious to see the logistics in the short first run of the series, as the rules for how the Hulk can change to and from Bruce Banner and even his color (initially gray!) go through constant adjustments.

These Epic Collections are a great way to get the key runs you're interested in without committing to the price (and shelf space!) of the Omnibus editions.
