We grade this BOGO as NM+ (9.6) as it has some, but not all, the characteristics of the guidelines described in the most current Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics. This item can be described as nearly perfect with only minor visibles that keep it in, “no man’s land” between NM/MT and NM. Item looks, “as if it was just purchased and read once or twice.” There may be subtle bindery or printing defects. No bindery tears. The surface is flat with no surface wear. Inks are bright with high reflectivity and minimal fading. Cover is generally well centered and firmly secured to interior pages. A corner may be minutely blunted, but still almost cut square and sharp. There may be almost imperceptible indentations but there are no creases, bends or color breaks. There are no penciled, stamped, or inked arrival dates. No soiling, staining or other discoloration. The spine is tight and flat with no spine roll or splits. The staples are original, generally centered, with only the slightest discoloration. No staple tears, stress lines or rust migration. Paper is off-white, supple, and fresh. No hint of acidity in the odor of the newsprint. No interior tears, autographs or owner signatures. Centerfold is firmly secured.
