Real-world politics and socially important concerns continue in this 6th issue since the groundbreaking GREEN LANTERN #76 opened comic book readers eyes to the huge gray area in real life that had nearly always been previously portrayed as simply black and white or good vs. evil conflicts.  

In GREEN LANTERN GREEN ARROW #81, Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams continue their amazing run of inquiries into social justice and moral concerns with "Death Be My Destiny!".    At this point in their journey across America to better understand the scope of society's ills, GL and GA are joined by one the Guardians, sent to Earth to also become educated in more relevant, down-to-earth problems than just supervillains! 

GL and GA, now joined by BLACK CANARY, travel to OA and find that their friend and confidant 'Old-Timer' has been found guilty by the Tribune. The GUARDIANS strip him of his immortality and sentence him to live out his days on the planet Maltus. The heroes go with him into his exile and discover a planet wildly over-populated due to the efforts of MOTHER JUNA. After they put a stop to her work, the 'Old-Timer' vows to restore balance to Maltus.

Neal Adams' artwork is amazing - as is his incredibly complex and detailed cover to this issue!

This copy of GREEN LANTERN/GREEN ARROW #81 is in terrific condition, with a strong binding and no splits, tears, stress lines or any fault we can see.  We very conservatively grade this an 8.0 VF - you may pronounce it something even higher when you get it in your hands!.  

The Overstreet Price Guide quotes a price of $59 for this issue in this condition . . but we think you'll be happy with our price of $40 . . . and our L•O•W shipping cost!
