By the time issue #65 of the Silver Age GREEN LANTERN rolled around, HAL JORDAN had left Coast City and his job as a Test Pilot, and was roaming the West Coast as an Insurance Investigator!!!  A rather unique secret identity for a space-faring superhero!  

Here, in a script by one of GREEN LANTERN's foremost writers - GARDNER FOX - you get "Dry Up -- and DIE!", nicely illustrated by Mike Sekowsky and Joe Giella.

Dr. Neal Emerson is doing research at the North Pole, when he is attacked by an alien presence that begins draining all moisture from his body . . and learns that eventually all water on Earth will be absorbed and removed! He mentally reaches out to GREEN LANTERN, trying to control his mind and bring him north to solve the problem.

When that doesn't work, he creates a duplicate of his former villainous alter-ago, DR. POLARIS, but cannot control that either, and the evil DR. POLARIS goads GL into a battle high above Earth.

HAL JORDAN's love interest at the time, EVE DOREMUS, makes an appearance and winds up helping GL end the alien menace.

This is a terrific-looking 57-year old Silver Age GREEN LANTERN #65 -- no creases, tears, pieces missing, or abnormal toning.
