Uncommon in High grade,and a very "in demand" issue,this flat, tight, high grade copy of the 1st appearance of GHOST RIDER(Carter Slade) displays an intact high grade spine with no splits or tears. Note how the black color is consistently applied, and the book still displays a lot of original gloss, which is noticeable in the scan. The front cover notes "THE ORIGIN OF THE GHOST RIDER".This issue also demonstrates supple off white pages, solid corners, and only 4 spine stress lines or tics,very superficial in nature. Staples are very secure with no wear around them. Back cover is defect free.At top edge one notes  tiny edge wear 1/16" tears(x3), at the original overlap area at top otherwise the book would be a solid VF/VF+ 8.0-8.5 .Still one of the nicest copies around in a 54 year old 1967 issue,and would appear to be the highest grade sold,if sold, if one checks recent sales in the last year.We will also be listing high grade copies of #2-7.
