Jack Kirby made headlines when he jumped from Marvel to DC in 1970 and created his wildly imaginative 'FOURTH WORLD' oeuvre. The FOREVER PEOPLE became a somewhat light-hearted piece of the new direction Kirby engineered, which also brought Apokolips and DARKSEID into the DC Universe.

The FOREVER PEOPLE were a group of young New Gods from New Genesis who were on a mission to oppose DARKSEID on Earth, and talked, dressed, and acted much like the flower children of the 1960s. The group was composed of Mark Moonrider, Big Bear, Vykin the Black, Serifan, and Beautiful Dreamer. In addition to their individual abilities and equipment, the group could join together using the technology of a Mother Box to summon the powerful hero known as the INFINITY-MAN. The group travels by use of their Super-Cycle and are aided by the Boom Tube.

Here are issues #3 and #4 of the title's 11-issue run, which Kirby both wrote and illustrated. In #3, in "Life - vs Anti-Life!", GLORIUS GODFREY captures the FOREVER PEOPLE.

Issue #4 expanded to 52 pages and you not only get "The Kingdom of the Damned!", in which the FOREVER PEOPLE are tortured by DESAAD in his Happyland Amusement Park, but 5 one-page 'pin-ups' of FP characters, plus reprints of two Jack Kirby SANDMAN stories from 1943!

Jack Kirby's story, characters and artwork (his pencils were inked by Vince Colette) are incredibly imaginative and appealing!

These are great copies of FOREVER PEOPLE #3 and #4 with no faults or blemishes that we can see (other than an unobtrusive 'Sandman' and '1971' that someone wrote on the cover of #4)! An honest 8.0 VF rating for 2 52-year old comics! Overstreet suggests a combined price of $54.
