Richard and Wendy Pini's ELFQUEST saga took the Fantasy and Comic Book worlds by storm when first introduced in black & white in the pages of FANTASY QUARTERLY in 1978. When that publisher failed, the Pinis created WaRP Graphics and published Wendy's story and art themselves for 21 issues.

Several years beyond that point, MARVEL picked up the rights to reprint the entire series - in color - and the grand story was extended through ELFQUEST #32.

In these first two issues we meet the band of Wolfrider elves just before they are burned out of their Holt by a fire set by careless humans, and have to strike out across an unforgiving desert to find a new home.

These are the first two MARVEL issues - each with 3 new pages added from their original incarnations. We grade these copies at 8.0 VF . . and as such, Overstreet lists them around $9 for the pair.
