About the item: Measuring approximately 7 3/4 x 10 inches on standard tracing paper, this original pencil preliminary features the work of acclaimed Playboy artist Doug Sneyd. The finished version of this sketch was published in the October, 2013 issue (page 83). In excellent condition, it will be shipped with the utmost care. Please note- this is an actual, hand-drawn piece of art by Sneyd. It is not a copy, print, or pre printed image. It is a one-of-a-kind original. Also included with the artwork is a copy of the cover to the issue in which the cartoon appeared (which measures approximately 8 1/2 by 11 inches) that has been hand-signed by Sneyd (signature is real... it is not a facsimile signature). Please note that it is a copy of the cover. The issue itself is not included in with the listing. First scan shows both the art and the signed cover copy. The second shows just the art and the third just the signed cover copy.About Doug Sneyd:Doug Sneyd began his career in commercial illustration before going freelance to work for a variety of book and magazine publishers. He also illustrated single-panel cartoons for the Toronto Star, Canada's largest circulation newspaper (cartoons that were eventually syndicated throughout North America). In 1964, he began working for Playboy and his gag strips have appeared in the magazine ever since. Throughout his career, he has contributed over 500 cartoons in all and became a favorite artist of Playboy readers.
