The eighth CONAN THE BARBARIAN ANNUAL appeared in early 1984, with a script by Jim Owsley and artwork by Val Mayerik.

"Dark Night of the White Queen" begins long before  the age of CONAN, when KING KULL ruled Hyborea.  The King and his squadron of Red Slayers try to stop worshipers of the nameless Serpent God from sacrificing a young woman who has just given birth to a twin son and daughter. Knowing the children are a grave danger to the world, KULL commands his trusted advisor TU to slay the babes, but TU finds he doesn't have the heart for it and gives the siblings to a passing shepherd. 

Ten thousand years later, it is CONAN who must deal with the consequences of this action!
