This is the tail end of the DeMatteis run, featuring key appearances by Deathlok and Mother Superior. The art by Zeck is gorgeous, with the talented Neary taking over later (he would continue into Gruenwald's run). DeMatteis' Marvel work was unique and always entertaining. There is the first appearance of one of his signature characters, the Black Crow, a Native American mystic. The run concludes with an epic battle with the Red Skull, who would then disappear for four years.

These Epic Collections are a great way to get the key runs you're interested in without committing to the price (and shelf space!) of the Omnibus editions.
