 *  The time has come for me to start selling my treasured High Grade Captain America collection. As a long life long collector of high grade comic books I completed this Captain America Run, Yes ALL 454 issues. It took me a little over 10 years to complete the entire run in the higher grades I was looking for. Some were cracked out from CGC / CBCS slabs. I currently do have a CBCS 8.5 Captain America #100 Listed on Hip. I will be listing more Cap books as time allows.

Captain America is back among the living! And so is Sharon Carter! What? Didn't she die at the hands of the National Force many years ago? Apparently not! In fact it was Sharon and a mysterious benefactor that kept Cap in cryogenic freeze for several weeks while the super-soldier serum was reintroduced into his bloodstream! Oh my, so what's next? Sharon tells the Sentinel of Liberty that she needs him for a special mission! And she's in no mood to argue! Welcome back Cap! Cameo appearances by the Black Widow, Ben Grimm, Cyclops, Quicksilver, Rick Jones, President Bill Clinton, and the Red Skull. Captain America, Sharon Carter, and the Red Skull are battling for the cosmic cube again! What a throwback to the silver age! But this time Cap and Sharon are fighting with the skull instead of against him! How did that happen? It happened because Steve Rogers owes the skull a favor after he saved the shield-slinger's life! And the Red Skull is ready to collect by sending Cap into action against the Kübekult! This strange group is trying to implement Adolf Hitler's global vision via the cosmic cube! And essentially create a world as if the Third Reich had won the second world war! So there it is! The Sentinel of Liberty, the feisty Sharon Carter, and the savage Red Skull fighting for freedom together! Flashback cameo by the Hate Monger to recap the events of Super-Villain Team-Up (1975) #16 and #17. At an alternate energy research facility; the star-spangled avenger, the former SHIELD agent, and the Red Skull are closing in on the cosmic cube! As their frantic battle against the Kübekult reaches its apex, Sharon gets her hands on the cube! Great! Now someone has to quickly use the cube to override the Third Reich's influence on it! However the only way to do that is for cube holder to create their own preferred reality (based upon their morals and values)! Sharon is ready to implement her vision, but Cap tells her no! Then she hands the cube to Cap! But he's not sure it's right for him either! Is anyone else available? Oh, the Red Skull is standing by! And his sinister world vision is coming next! A terrific issue! (Notes: Pages 14 thru 19 are storytelling par excellence. The four-part Operation Rebirth was reprinted in 2011 in the hardcover: Captain America Operation Rebirth. 32 pages.

Operation Rebirth: Part 4 of 4. "American Dream" Double-Sized issue. Script by Mark Waid. Pencils by Ron Garney. Inks by Denis Rodier. Cover by Ron Garney. The Red Skull has trapped Captain America inside the cosmic cube! But before the skull can use the cube to change the world, he needs Steve Rogers to destroy the other person inside the cube: Adolf Hitler! The time and location within the cube is 1945 Berlin! And Cap, Bucky, Nick Fury, Dum Dum Dugan, Prince Namor, and the original Human Torch are rapidly approaching the Führer bunker! However before Cap enters the bunker, Bucky tells him that what he's experiencing is not real. It's a carefully crafted reality by his true enemy: the Red Skull! Can the star-spangled avenger see through the illusion and get back to Sharon Carter and the present day? Only the world depends on it! (Note: The Red Skull returns in the Captain America (1998) 3rd series.) 48 pages
