As a 40 year serious collector I have acquired a vast inventory of most major Marvel and DC titles, as well as many Independents, Graphic Novels, Trades and hard Cover books. I believe my grading to be conservative and based on one THING, Can the book pull the said grade from Third Party Graders Like CGC, and CBCS. Ive submitted many books for grading and I have also cracked out plenty of CGC and CBCS books for my personal collection over the years. The time has come for me to start selling my treasured High Grade Captain America collection. It took me a little over 10 years to complete the entire run in the higher grades I was looking for (Yes ALL 454 Issues). Some were cracked out from CGC / CBCS slabs. I will be listing more high grade Marvel & DC books as time allows.

All the books I will be listing are Original unaltered books. None have ever been pressed or altered in any way.

The crafty Cheer Chadwick enters Cap and the Falcon into the death derby! Both heroes are assigned to the red team (along with Tinkerbelle). And they must slay the blue team in order to win! The star-spangled avenger doesn't have his shield at his side, but he does have a cool skateboard! When the derby begins, the fighting is intense! Cap plows through several members of the blue team and then spots the combatant holding his shield. The Living Legend will go for broke to get it back! In the meantime, elsewhere in the Badlands, the U.S. Army is frantically searching for the Royalist Forces of America's underground base. Cameo appearance by General Argyle Fist. (Note: The letters page includes a letter from comics publisher Dean Mullaney. Pandemonium erupts inside as everyone dashes for the base's exits including Cheer Chadwick and the Elites and Captain America and the Falcon! Who is getting out alive? And who is not? Oh, and where is the Madbomb? Cameo appearances by Dr. Hesperus Chadwick and General Argyle Fist. (Notes: Cheer Chadwick returns years later in Thunderbolts #31. * There are moments through out comic book history that hold special historical meaning, none more special than the legendary return of Jack Kirby to the Captain America title in January 1976. Kirby's 2-Year run on the Title (#193 -#216 would prove to be one of the pinnacles of his Legendary career! Stay tuned as I will be listing all of the issues in this historical Jack Kirby Run.

This offering is for a set of two very nice looking Captain America Issues from the famous Jack Kirby run on the title mentioned above. Both book are in Great condition with Like New Original cover color and gloss with Very minimal surface wear, mainly a few tiny spine ticks and minor edge wear. Light wear on the top staple of Issue #197 might keep it in the 7.5 range. Both books have outstanding eye appeal with nice cover wraps. The interiors are complete with with nice page quality with NO:Cut-Outs,Writing,etc...with no major creasing and Original clean cover color I believe the books are in the 8.0 VFN grade range, #196 possibly even an 8.5 VFN+ These Jack Kirby Issues are getting harder and harder to find in nicer conditions like this. Good Luck finding nicer copies!
