Item Description
As a 40 year serious collector I have acquired a vast inventory of most major Marvel and DC titles, as well as many Independents, Graphic Novels, Trades and hard Cover books. I believe my grading to be conservative and based on one THING, Can the book pull the said grade from Third Party Graders Like CGC, and CBCS. Ive submitted many books for grading and I have also cracked out plenty of CGC and CBCS books for my personal collection over the years. I will securely and promptly ship all orders and will be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I will continue adding more comics, cards and books to my store here. Thank You for stopping by for a look.Ive been an Hip member since 1999 and a Top Rated Hip seller with 100% Positive Feedback for over a decade.The time has come for me to start selling my treasured High Grade Captain America collection. As a life long collector of high grade comic books I completed this Captain America Run, Yes ALL 454 issues. It took me a little over 10 years to complete the entire run in the higher grades I was looking for. Some were cracked out from CGC / CBCS slabs. I will be listing more high grade Silver Age Cap books as time allows.
All the books I will be listing are Original unaltered books. None have ever been pressed or altered in any way.
I have been a long term seller of Comic Books and other collectables for over 20 Years and Hip Comic for the past 5 years. Please check my feedback.
My goal is a Smooth transaction with serious buyers looking to add higher grade Silver Age books to the collections.
Book Information & Description:
CAPTAIN AMERICA #182 (9.4 NM) Steve Ditko Marvel Value Stamp, (1975)
* "Inferno!" Part 3 of 3. Script by Steve Englehart. Pencils by Frank Robbins. Inks by Joe Giella. Cover by Ron Wilson, Frank Giacoia, and John Romita Sr. (alterations). In Seattle, Washington, the Serpent Squad makes its last stand! But the squad is down to just two members...and barricaded in a house that's surrounded by the police! The Cobra is ready to surrender. However the Viper is ready to die for her cause thanks to the Serpent Crown! By the time Nomad busts into the house, it's a raging inferno with bullets flying everywhere! Originally, Nomad was going toapprehend the Serpent Squad, however now he's trying to save their lives! But the Viper may be beyond saving. Meanwhile back in New York, the Falcon begins working with a new Captain America (aka Roscoe Simons). Cameo appearances by Sharon Carter, Dave Cox, and the Red Skull. (Notes: TheViper returns in Marvel Team-Up #83. The Serpent Crown appears next in Marvel Two-in-One #65. The letters page includes a letter from comics publisher Dean Mullaney. The letters page also contains Marvel Value Stamp series A #36 Ancient One by Steve Ditko.) 36 pages.
* Sweet Mother of Pearl ! Comic Books simply don't get much better than this, Especially 50 year old Bronze Age Captain America issues with highly condition sensitive black Covers! It is amazing how a comic book could survive this long in this kind of condition. The book displays Beautiful Like New Cover Color and Gloss with virtually no surface wear both front and back. The book has a dead centered perfect cover wrap with clean tight staples giving it outstanding eye appeal. Solid sharp edges and corners with no bends. The interior is complete with NO: Cut-Outs, Writing, etc... the Steve Ditko Marvel Value stamp is intact. With only a couple tiny spine ticks I have no doubt the book is at least a 9.4 NM contender with any grading company out there, possibly even a 9.6 NM+ on any given day. Ive certainly seen lesser books in those slabs. The high res pictures don't do this book justice and I would certainly put this book up against on the internet claiming the same high grade. An outstanding addition to any high grade comic book collection!
* Flat spine with clean tight staples (couple microscopic ticks)
* Brilliant Original cover color and gloss with virtually flawless surface (No creases)
* Dead On Perfect Cover wrap
* Solid clean edges & Corners
* Nice Page Quality
* Book Is Complete With NO: Cut Outs, Writing, Stains or Creases
