BATMAN's first published appearance was in DC's DETECTIVE COMICS #27 in May of 1939.  Here, 35 years later years later - after 420 months of continual appearances - is BATMAN #255, a milestone that only a few comic book titles had achieved by that time!

Writers in this issue include Len Wein, Bill Finger, Gardner Fox, and John Broome! The villains run the gamut from the Werewolf - Anthony Lupus to The Outsider, Mr. Brains, and Crazy Quilt!

There's even a 2-page history of the BATMOBILE!

This is a great copy of BATMAN #255, with a clean, bright and glossy cover, supple pages free of toning, and a strong, perfectly straight squared spine! No creases, stress lines, tears or pieces missing. There does seem to be, though, restapling that holds the cover in place.
