BATMAN #232, from the Summer of 1971, is a standout issue depicting the Dark Knight's first meeting with the demon RA'S AL GHUL, who was to become his epic adversary!

In "Daughter of the Demon", Batman is led to believe that ROBIN has been shot and abducted . . and soon he is shocked to find the shadowy figure of RA'S AL GHUL in his Batcave, having learned of the secret identity he guards.

GHUL spins a desperate plea for BATMAN to help him find his lost daughter, TALIA, whom BATMAN just met the previous month in DETECTIVE COMICS #411 (when he saved her life, and sparks flew between the two!) The demon also offers to help BATMAN find ROBIN, but uses it as coercion.

The search takes them to India, and then the Himalayas, before RA'S AL GHUL's true intentions surface!

A terrifically tense story by Denny O'Neil with incredible artwork by the one and only Neal Adams! 

Interspersed within the story are flashback accounts of BATMAN's origin and of ROBIN's first appearance in DETECTIVE COMICS #40.

This is a great copy of BATMAN #232, with bright color, supple pages with clean printing, and a strong, perfectly straight spine!  There is a tiny crease at the lower right corner of the front cover, and that's pretty much the only flaw we see!
