"Little Jason wakes up in a hospital, legs broken and memory blotted out - except for a nightmare recollection of a failed escape and robotic recapture. There's something beyond strange about the people who say they're his parents, but he starts to go home with them anyway. Then, partway home, he takes grabs the car's control in another attempt to get away, the "parents" go through a bizarre Jekyll and Hyde transformation, and the car crashes.
