I was hooked on ARCHIE'S MAD HOUSE when I was a pre-teen . . . being too old for kiddie comics, maybe not old enough for MAD MAGAZINE! This was ARCHIE's answer to teen-age snarkyness and weird humor at a time that it must have seemed like teens were ruling the media!

Here are 36 pages of rapid-fire spoofs, goofs, satire, and random silliness, all in innocent good fun (as the ARCHIE UNIVERSE presented itself). This is an especially amusing issue, with six of the 17 wacky features illustrated by the great Orlando Busino!

He kicks things off with the jokey "Guess Which One" and "The Teen-Age Machine-Age", showcasing the Teachitron, the the Jukeboxitron, and Snack-O-Mat! After that, things devolve mainly into more craziness, in features like "The Mad House Hall of Fame", "If Girls Ran Baseball", "Madhouse's Picnic Pointers" and "The Invention of Kissing"!

This is a pretty nice copy - flexible pages, good color, minor toning, but with a warped crease at the edge of the front cover and a bent corner. There is some minor, hardly noticeable staining and warping on various pages - this copy may have gotten damp at some point - but nothing mars the artwork. We call it a 4.0 VG. What's that you say, Mr. Overstreet? - $10.??!? uh . . how 'bout we make it $6? And we'll throw in really cheap shipping, to boot!
