I was hooked on ARCHIE'S MAD HOUSE when I was a pre-teen . . . being too old for kiddie comics, but maybe not old enough for MAD MAGAZINE just yet! This was the ARCHIE answer to teen-age snarkyness and weird humor at a time that it must have seemed like teens were ruling the media!

Here are 108 pages of early '60s rapid-fire spoofs, goofs, satire, and random silliness, all in innocent good fun (as the ARCHIE UNIVERSE presented itself). Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica were prominent in early issues, but starting in #17 only generic original characters were used as foils for the teenage foibles!

After that, things devolve mainly into more craziness, in features like "The Mad House Hall of Fame", "Aunt Juggie's Advice to the Lovelorn", "Mr. Weatherbee Presents Great Moments in History" and "Chester Square and Lester Cool"!

Several artists and their varying styles are present, including Tom Moore, Bob White, Samm Schwartz and the great Orlando Busino!

These are 3 well-read copies - flexible pages, good color, minor toning, but with a few dings, ragged edges and small pieces missing - but nothing that detracts from the bonanza of chuckles inside! What's that you say, Mr. Overstreet? - a combined $34 for three 4.0 VG copies?? uh . . how 'bout we make it $15! And we'll throw in really cheap shipping, to boot!
