First issue of one of the most iconic Latin American comic book series.

Originally created in Mexico in the early 1970s by writer Rafael C. Navarro and artist Modesto Vázquez, Águila Solitaria quickly became a landmark of Mexican Western comics and a symbol of popular historieta culture.

This Colombian edition, published by Editora Cinco in 1983, was part of the international expansion of the series and was distributed in several Spanish-speaking countries, including Puerto Rico. It retains the original Mexican copyright, preserving both authenticity and historical significance.

Condition: Vintage original copy, complete with all pages. Cover shows rubbing typical of age, binding is firm. Staples show darkening and slight migration onto nearby pages, but remain fully intact. Some interior pages include light hand-coloring added by a previous owner. Overall a solid and collectible copy of this rare first issue.

A key piece for collectors of Latin American comics, Spanish-language historietas, western adventures, and rare international editions — the very first issue of the series in its scarce Colombian edition.
