Item DescriptionDC ONE MILLION was a comic book crossover storyline that ran through both a self-titled, weekly miniseries and through special issues of almost all of the "DCU" titles published by DC Comics in November 1998. It featured a vision of the DC Universe in the 853rd Century (85,201–85,300 AD), chosen because that is the century in which DC Comics would have published issue #1,000,000 of their comics if they had maintained a regular publishing schedule.
In BATMAN #1,000,000, Bruce Wayne's "soul" is transferred into a clone of the Batman of the 853rd century where he is sabotaged on the Prison Planet of Pluto in his celebratory 'Challenge' for Superman Prime's return to humanity. Written by Doug Moench, with stylish art byYvel Guichet and Sal Buscema.
In ROBIN THE TOY WONDER #1,000,000 we see that, fortunately for Bruce Wayne, his future sidekick - a robotic Robin - comes to his aid, battling the future Joker, and is able to get Catwoman to help them escape from Pluto! Chuck Dixon and Staz Johnson tell the story.
In DETECTIVE COMICS #1,000,000 the future Batman wants to get into the Batcave - but Robin and Alfred are determined to keep him out. Nightwing has to make the choice of which side he is on! Chuck Dixon writes it, Greg land draws it!
This was an ambitious miniseries, encompassing nearly every DC character who had a series of their own, and frankly, was a bit hard to follow (at least for me!). But if you're a Batman & Co. fan, these three titles will interest you! Just $5.00 for all three, with $1,000,000 minus $999,997.00 for postage!
