Here are Academy Award winners Tom and Jerry, in a couple of issues that hit the newsstands in 1954, not all that long before the MGM animation studios closed down and their screen antics were cut adrift!

The first of this duo, Issue #118, from May of 1954, has a cover and lead story by the "TOM and JERRY Expert', Harvey Eisenberg, who was the key layout designer on their animated cartoons.  It has 4 Tom and Jerry stories, plus Flip n Dip, Barney Bear and Benny Burro, Spike and Tyke, and Wuff the Prairie Dog.  This copy also has rare 'albino' inside covers - no printing of the one-page gag stories customarily there!

#119, from a month later, with another cover and lead story by Eisenberg, has an identical line-up - lots of cartoon animal fun packed into 52 pages without ads!

These are wonderfully tight and clean copies with no tears or splits - just a miniscule corner piece missing on the cover of 119! They're easily both a 6.0 FN, . . . 'Overstreet' decrees that the pair should go for $30.  We say nay! We think $18 will make both of us happy . . especially combined with our L•O•W $2 shipping cost!
