In 1975, DC and MARVEL called a truce from all their sniping, and agreed to produce a few CROSSOVER CLASSICS, featuring match-ups between some of their top characters. Here are two pristine copies of gold-cover reprints of those joint endeavors!

Following up their SUPERMAN vs. SPIDER-MAN crossover in 1976, is this 1995 reprint of the two heroes second meeting, SUPERMAN AND SPIDER-MAN from 1981! In "The Heroes and the Holocaust", written by Jim Shooter with input from Marv Wolfman, and pencilled by John Buscema with an all-star line-up of inkers, you get a 62-page story full of action and intrigue . . and great art!! DR. DOOM and THE PARASITE are the main foes, and their are minor skirmish subplots with SUPERMAN vs. THE HULK, and SPIDER-MAN vs. WONDER WOMAN!

One year later, in 1982, the two publishers again joined ranks and produced the action packed THE UNCANNY X-MEN and THE NEW TEEN TITANS. Chris Claremont, wildly popular for his X-MEN scripting at the time, and with terrific artwork by Walt Simonson, present the 64-pg story "Apokolips . . NOW!", which sees the two teams battling to stop DARKSEID from reviving the DARK PHOENIX to help turn Earth into another Apokolips.

These are two near-pristine copies of these reprint comics -- the bindings are strong, the colors are bright and the covers are nice and glossy! We conservatively grade them a combined 8.0 VF . . . which Overstreet values at $66 . . . but we're pricing the pair at more than a third off - at just $41 . . with our customary L•O•W shipping!
